FAQ - 1866 Club and R28 membership products

To access the onsale of 1866 Club and R28 memberships, you must hold a valid Devils Believer membership.

These products will not be available to the general public.

1866 Club and R28 numbers are capped at 4,500 combined and purchase is not guaranteed.

1866 Club - First access to purchase a 2028 reserved membership product

R28 Premium - Second access to purchase a 2028 reserved membership product

R28 - Third access to purchase a 2028 reserved membership product

Purchasing the 1866 Club in 2026 means that your membership type is locked in and you can continue to renew this product each year. Whilst inclusions are still being developed, this will remain one of our premium membership products. If you choose to not continue with the 1866 Club product in 2028, you will instead receive first priority access to purchase from other available 2028 memberships.

Purchasing the R28 products means that you are guaranteeing your position in the queue to purchase a reserved membership product.

The difference between R28 Premium and R28 is the order in which you get access to purchase your 2028 membership.

The difference in price is based on the level of priority access that members will receive in 2028.

The price difference between the 1866 Club and R28 products reflect the ongoing security of a premium membership category that 1866 Club members will receive.

Some of our members told us that they wanted certainty that they can purchase a game access membership for 2028.

We are selling 4,500 guarantees now for those that want certainty - these guarantees mean that you will get access to purchase a reserved membership product for 2028.

Purchasing now puts you in the best position to access the membership products and games you want in 2028.

We are limiting the number of 1866 Club and R28 products sold now to ensure membership and ticket opportunities remain available for other Devils Believer members in 2028.

Devils Believer members will always receive priority access ahead of non-members when further membership products and tickets become available.

While there will still be future membership and ticket opportunities available to Devils Believer members; availability, locations and inclusions may be limited.

Members who choose not to purchase now will join the broader member purchasing process and may miss out on their preferred membership product.

You must hold a valid Devils Believer membership to access the onsale.

At the onsale time, log in to your membership account to purchase, similar to how you purchased your original membership.

Each Devils Believer membership can purchase one 1866 Club or R28 product.

If you hold multiple memberships in one account, you can purchase the equivalent number of products.

To purchase as a group, all members must be linked to the same account and purchased together by one account holder.

Our 2028 membership products have not yet been developed, that will happen over the next 12 months as we continue to learn more about what our fans want.

The products we are selling now secure your place in the priority queue to access and purchase 2028 memberships once on sale.

Come 2028, membership products will exist that give access to all AFL and AFLW games across all venues played at.

Whilst the products have not been developed yet, people that purchased either 1866 Club or an R28 product will be guaranteed that they can purchase a membership product that has a seat, as opposed to GA or standing membership.

Please note that full season AFL memberships can cost on average from $500-$2,000, pending the level of membership, and from $3,000-$5,000 for coterie products.

Devils Believer members who also purchase the R28 membership in 2026, must renew both membership products in 2027 to be eligible to purchase Devils reserved seating memberships memberships in the AFL/W competition.

Devils Believer members who also purchase the 1866 Club membership in 2026, must renew both membership products in 2027 to be eligible to purchase this membership product in 2028.

$900 of the $1500, 1866 Club membership is a tax-deductible donation to the Tasmania Devils Foundation. This donation will go towards Building the Club and Building Capability while the remaining membership cost covers member benefits and priority access for future membership opportunities.

We are no longer selling products based on location (R28 Map, R28 North or R28 South).

As our 2028 membership and ticketing programs are still being finalised, there are a number of details yet to be confirmed. 

Rather than selling specific products before these details are locked in, we are selling positions in the queue to purchase a guaranteed 2028 reserved membership, regardless of location.

We know interstate members will have different needs to those attending games regularly in Tasmania. That's why we will develop a range of membership and access products designed to help interstate supporters stay connected to the club and attend games in Tasmania and on the mainland. 

While these products are still being developed, purchasing a R28 Premium or R28 product is the best way to secure your place in the priority queue and be among the first to purchase interstate memberships. Members holding a R28 product will get access to purchase all membership products available. 

We're balancing certainty for some members now while ensuring opportunities remain available for the broader membership base in future years.

If you miss out, or these products aren't right for you, there will be additional membership and ticketing opportunities available in the lead-up to 2028, with this release intentionally limited to 4,500 products to ensure future opportunities remain available.
