Membership Terms and Conditions

These Membership Terms and Conditions apply to all memberships issued by TFC AFL Limited (ACN 667 652 333) (Tasmania Devils or the Club).

A        General 

  1. Agreement to Terms
    1. By purchasing a Tasmania Devils Membership (Membership), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
    2. You also agree to be bound by the Club’s Privacy Policy as amended from time to time and published on the Club’s website: https://www.devilsfc.com.au/privacy-policy. All personal information will be used, and may be disclosed, by the Club (including for promotional and marketing purposes) in accordance with the AFL and AFL Club Privacy Policy.
    3. The Club has complete discretion to accept or reject any Membership application.
  2. Term
    1. Your Club Membership commences on the date the Club receives your Membership fee and ends on 31 December 2026, unless suspended or terminated earlier in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  3. Refunds
    1. Subject to these Terms and Conditions and applicable law, Memberships are non-refundable.
    2. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts, modifies or limits the non-excludable guarantees and rights granted to consumers under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and the Australian Consumer Laws.
  4. Membership Benefits
    1. Membership benefits vary depending on the Membership Package purchased and may include, without limitation:
      1. exclusive member communications;
      2. digital membership card;
      3. 10% discount on selected products at the Devils Den Official Merchandise Stores, online, in-store and at pop-up Devils Den stands, subject to any exclusions, limitations and promotional conditions determined by the Club from time to time; and
      4. a ‘Member Pack’ as advertised from the Club from time to time.
    2. If an advertised Member Pack item becomes unavailable, the Club may substitute a similar item at its discretion. Delivery timeframes for Member Packs are not guaranteed.
    3. Member Packs are not available for international shipping.
    4. If a Membership Package includes an option for the Member to choose between a Member Pack and an alternative member benefit (such as store credit), a Member with a delivery address outside Australia will receive the alternative member benefit.
    5. The Club reserves the right in its absolute discretion to change all or any of any Membership Package details. All Membership Packages are strictly sold subject to availability.
  5. One Membership Per Person
    1. Memberships are limited to one per person and must be assigned to an individual.
    2. Duplicate Memberships issued to an individual (including across different Membership packages) may be cancelled or consolidated at the sole discretion of the Club.
  6. Communications
    1. You consent to receiving Membership communications and marketing communications from the Club.
    2. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time in accordance with applicable law and the Club’s Privacy Policy.
    3. It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure that personal contact details are accurate and up to date. The Club accepts no responsibility for communications that are not received due to a Member’s contact details being incorrect or not current or due to a Member’s privacy settings.
  7. Complaints Process
    1. Any complaint regarding a Membership must be submitted in writing to the Club’s Membership Team via membership@devilsfc.com.au.
    2. The Club will acknowledge receipt of the complaint within fourteen (14) days and will use reasonable endeavours to resolve the complaint within fourteen (14) days of receiving all relevant information.
    3. The Club’s determination of any complaint is final and binding subject to any rights at law.
  8. Non-Transferability
    1. Membership cards and associated benefits are for personal use only and must not be transferred.
    2. Any unauthorised transfer or lending of a Membership card constitutes a breach of these Terms and Conditions and may result in cancellation of Membership.
  9. No Resale or Commercial Use
    1. Memberships and any match tickets or benefits issued to Members must not, without the prior written consent of the Club, be resold or offered for resale at a premium, used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes, or otherwise used to enhance demand for other goods or services.
    2. The Club may cancel any Membership or ticket used in breach of this clause without refund and may refuse admission.
  10. Identification
    1. The Club may request photo identification from a Membership ticket holder to verify identity against the original Membership application.
    2. Failure to provide satisfactory identification may result in cancellation of the relevant Membership.
  11. Payment Methods
    1. Membership fees must be paid in full by Visa or MasterCard, unless Member chooses to pay via approved payment instalment option in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  12. Automatic Renewal
    1. Memberships automatically renew each year in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, unless the Member opts out in accordance with clause 13.
    2. As part of the automatic renewal process, you authorise the Club to debit your nominated bank account, debit card or credit card for the applicable renewal Membership fee and/or payment instalment process relevant to your Membership.
  13. Renewal Notice and Opt-Out
    1. Members will receive at least thirty (30) days’ written notice before their Membership will be renewed, which may include notification that a Member is required to upgrade from a Membership category (for example, upgrading from a Junior to Adult Membership).
    2. To opt out of renewal, a Member must notify the Club in writing within the opt-out period as advised by the Club in accordance with the notice provided under clause 13.1.
    3. Opting out of renewal does not affect communications relating to an existing Membership.
  14. Renewal Date
    1. Renewal payments will be processed on the date advised by the Club each year.
    2. Members on a three (3) month instalment plan will have their first renewal instalment deducted on the renewal date.
  15. Member Responsibilities
    1. With respect to Membership payments, Members must:
    2. notify the Club of any changes to payment details; and
    3. ensure sufficient funds are available in the nominated account on the date Membership payments fall due.
    4. Any fees levied to the Member by the Member’s financial institution for a dishonoured payment will be payable by the Member.
  16. Payment Platforms
    1. The Club facilitates the Membership management and payment system through third party ticketing agencies Archtics and Ticketmaster.  
  17. Failed Payments
    1. If a payment fails, the Club may attempt to process the payment again during the same month in which the payment date as advised by the Club falls and may contact the Member via SMS or email.
    2. If two consecutive payments cannot be processed, the Club may suspend or cancel the Membership. Suspension may include, but is not limited to, loss of:
      1. game access;
      2. finals eligibility; and/or
      3. Club invitations and event access.
    3. The Club will notify the Member in writing of any Membership suspension or cancellation.
  18. Reinstatement and Outstanding Amounts
    1. Reinstatement of suspended entitlements may take up to two (2) business days after payment is received.
    2. Any outstanding balances from previous seasons must be paid in full before renewal or acceptance of a new Membership.
  19. Membership Categories
    1. For the purposes of purchasing a Membership:
      1. “Adult” means any person who is 16 years of age or older on 1 January 2026.
      2. “Junior” means any person who is 15 years of age or younger on 1 January 2026.
      3. “Concession” means any person holding a valid full-time student, pensioner, or veterans’ affairs card. Note: Health Care Card holders are not eligible for concession pricing.
    2. Any Club Member eligible for or considering a Concession Membership must provide a copy of their concession at the time of purchase. Please email a photograph or scanned copy of your valid concession to membership@devilsfc.com.au.
    3. Club Members who purchase a Concession Membership have until 31 May 2026 to provide proof of their concession or they will be automatically charged the full Adult Club Membership fee.
    4. If you hold a valid government issued Companion Card and purchase a Membership that includes access to matches, you may be eligible for one (1) complimentary Membership for your Companion, at the same access level, subject to availability. The Club does not guarantee that both the Member and the Companion will be able to access all VFL, VFLW, AFL or AFLW matches, as access remains subject to venue capacity and third party ticketing processes.
    5. If you have specific accessibility or carer requirements, please contact the Club Membership Team at membership@devilsfc.com.au or on 03 6159 8888 and they will provide you with further guidance on how to make the most of your Membership.
  20. Use of Ticketing Agents
    1. The third-party ticketing agencies facilitate the sale and allocation of tickets to AFL, AFLW, VFL and VFLW matches.
    2. Any queries or complaints regarding ticketing processes (including ticket allocation, seat designation, accessibility requirements or ticket refunds) must be directed to the relevant ticketing agency.
  21. Membership Code of Conduct
    1. Tasmania Devils Members are expected to uphold the Membership Code of Conduct set out in this clause 21, and any other Code of Conduct published on the Club’s website, at all times and in all forums, including but not limited to face-to-face interactions on match days or any other time via phone, email and on social media. Penalties may apply to Club Members who breach the Membership Code of Conduct as set out in this clause 21, or any other Club Code of Conduct, including cancellation or suspension of their Club Membership without refund, reporting behaviour to the AFL Integrity and Security team, and/or the appropriate law enforcement agency.
    2. The Club has an unequivocal and unwavering stance on vilification and has a zero-tolerance for Club Members or supporters who engage in conduct which may reasonably be considered to incite hatred towards, contempt for, ridicule of or discrimination against a person or group of persons (including the opposition, opposition supporters, or umpires) on the ground of their race, religion, gender, colour, sexual preference, orientation or identity, or special ability or disability.
    3. Barracking and supporting the Club is a vital part of the game, however offensive or aggressive behaviour (including yelling and swearing when interacting with Club staff, agents or event staff) will not be tolerated at any times.
    4. Club Members who consume alcohol at Club events are to do so responsibly.
  22. Breach, No Guarantees and Limitation of Liability
    1. In addition to the specific references to termination or suspension of a Member’s Membership set out in these Terms and Conditions, the Club reserves its right to suspend (for a period reasonably determined by the Club) or terminate a Member's Membership without a refund where that Member has breached a material term of these Terms and Conditions.
    2. You acknowledge that the Club does not guarantee participation in the AFL or AFLW competitions in any given year. The Club will not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses, including claims for refunds, arising from the Club’s non-participation in the AFL or AFLW competitions, except to the extent as expressly provided in these Terms and Conditions.
    3. To the fullest extent permitted by law (including without limitation the Australian Consumer Law) the Club shall in no circumstance be liable to a Member for any direct or consequential losses or any loss (whether direct or indirect) arising out of the Member’s purchase of or participation in Tasmania Devils Membership, including without limitation from the loss or suspension of the Member’s Membership or the Member’s ability to attend all or any Tasmania Devils games or enter a venue where a Tasmania Devils game is occurring, except to the extent the loss is caused by the Club’s breach of these Terms and Conditions, its negligence or wilful default.
  23. Club Constitution
    1. From the “Competition Commencement Date” (as defined in the Club’s Constitution), if your Membership application is accepted by the Club, you agree that you become a member of the Club in accordance with the Club’s Constitution (as amended from time to time) and that you are bound by, and must comply with, the Constitution. A copy of the Club’s Constitution is available on the Club’s website or upon request.
  24. Cancellation
    1. The Club reserves its right to cancel a Club Membership without a refund where the member is deemed by the Club to have breached any of these Terms and Conditions.
  25. Variation of these Terms and Conditions
    1. The Club may vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any variations will be published on the Club’s website.
  26. Governing Law
    1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Tasmania, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts exercising jurisdiction in Tasmania.

B       Devils Believer Membership 

  1. Devils Believer Membership
    1. In addition to the General Terms in Section A above, Members who purchase a “Devils Believer” Membership:
      1. will receive access1 to participate in the process to purchase a Tasmania Devils Reserved Seat Memberships (see clause 33);
      2. will receive recognition towards continuous years of Membership and access to the Club’s Member Rewards and Recognition Program2;
      3. will receive discounted access to Tasmania Devils VFL or VFLW “Away” matches during the Home and Away season, subject to venue availability; and
      4. may elect to pay for their Membership via a three (3) month payment instalment option3.

C       Clubhouse Membership 

  1. Clubhouse Membership
    1. In addition to the General Terms in Section A and Devils Believer Membership Terms in Section B above, Members who purchase a “Clubhouse” Membership receive access to a nominated State-based Clubhouse group (for example, Tasmania, Victoria or Interstate).

D       VFL / VFLW Membership 

  1. VFL / VFLW Membership
    1. In addition to the General Terms in Section A and Devils Believer Membership Terms in Section B above, Members who purchase a “VFL / VFLW” Membership package receive access to “Home” VFL and VFLW matches during the Home and Away season (excluding Round One of the 2026 season)4;

E        Digital (Kayo) Membership 

  1. Digital (Kayo) Membership
    1. In addition to the General Terms in Section A and Devils Believer Membership Terms in Section B above, Members who purchase a “Digital (Kayo)” Membership receive a coupon for a twelve (12) month Kayo subscription (Standard or Premium).  
    2. Members redeeming the Kayo subscription must agree to Kayo’s applicable terms and conditions and any other requirements imposed by Kayo in relation to the subscription.

F        Digital (WatchAFL) Membership 

  1. Digital (WatchAFL) Membership
    1. In addition to the General Terms in Section A and Devils Believer Membership Terms in Section B above, Members who purchase a “Digital (WatchAFL)” Membership receive a 12-month WatchAFL Subscription, subject to the WatchAFL Terms and Conditions. 

G       Baby Devil Membership

  1. Baby Devil Membership
    1. In addition to the General Terms in Section A above, Members who purchase a “Baby Devil” Membership receive:
      1. Baby Devil Member Pack, comprising items as advertised from time to time; and
      2. recognition towards continuous years of Membership and access to the Club’s Member Rewards and Recognition Program2.
    2. Baby Devil memberships are available to persons born in a calendar year of the Membership season, or one (1) year of age on 1 January of the calendar year of the Membership season. Existing Baby Devil members that are two (2) years of age on 1 January of the calendar year of the Membership season will be offered to upgrade to an applicable junior Membership. 

I         Reserved Seat Memberships

  1. Reserved Seat Memberships (R28 and 1866 Club)
    1. In addition to the General Terms in Section A above, the following terms and conditions apply to Reserved Seat Memberships Packages. For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, “Reserved Seat Memberships” refers to:
      1. “R28” Memberships; and/or
      2. “1866 Club” Memberships.
    2. A Reserved Seat Membership provides priority access1 to purchase a Club Membership that includes an allocated reserved seat at certain“Home” matches in the Club’s inaugural season in the AFL competition (excluding all finals series matches) as set out in clauses 33.3 and 33.4 below. Reserved Seat Memberships are capped.
    3. If you are successful in your application for 1866 Club Membership, you will receive access to purchase a Membership that includes a reserved seat at either Ninja Stadium or UTAS Stadium for Club’s “Home” matches in its inaugural season in the AFL competition, with the concierge administrative support from a Devils Membership staff member, and details with respect to access to AFLW reserved seat will be provided once available. 1866 Club Members are capped, and 1866 Club Members will have the first access to reserved seat memberships for the Club’s inaugural AFL and AFLW Seasons.
    4. As part of your application for an R28 Membership, you will be required to select an AFL “Home” venue of either Ninja Stadium (“Southern R28” Membership) or UTAS Stadium (“Northern R28” Membership), or a membership covering both venues (“Map” Membership), subject to availability. If you are successful in your application for R28 Membership, you will receive access to purchase a Membership that includes a reserved seat for AFL “Home” matches in accordance with your selection, and details with respect to access to AFLW reserved seat will be provided once available. R28 Memberships are capped, and R28 Members will receive second priority access (after 1866 Club Members) to purchase reserved seat memberships for the Club’s inaugural AFL and AFLW seasons.
    5. An R28 Member who wishes to change their nominated “Home” venue (Northern R28 to Southern R28, or vice versa) must forfeit their existing R28 entitlements. Any new Reserved Seat Membership will be subject to availability at the time of purchase.
    6. Additional Reserved Seat Membership benefits and inclusions (including payment options) may vary and will be determined by the Club from time to time, including by updates to these Terms and Conditions.
    7. The Club makes no guarantee as to the number of matches to be played in Tasmania (including at any particular Tasmanian venue) during the Club’s inaugural AFL or AFLW season.
    8. The Club does not guarantee the timing of the on-sale period for Reserved Seat Memberships. However, sales are currently anticipated to commence from mid-2026 and may occur annually prior to the Club’s inaugural AFL and AFLW season.
    9. To retain priority access to purchase a reserved seat membership for the Club’s inaugural AFL and AFLW season, a person must maintain an active Reserved Seat Membership in 2026 and in each subsequent year prior to that inaugural season.
    10. If a Reserved Seat Member elects not to purchase a reserved seat membership for the Club’s inaugural AFL and AFLW season, they will receive priority access to other available membership offerings. However, no refunds or discounts will be provided in respect of their Reserved Seat Membership.
    11. If the Club does not participate in the AFL or AFLW competitions in 2028 or in any subsequent year, the Club may refund the portion of the Reserved Seat Membership fee attributable to the reserved seat access benefit, which will be determined by the Club in its sole discretion. 

 

  1. “Access” means the ability to participate in the prescribed reserved seat membership sale process (including “R28” and “1866 Club” Memberships) using the Member’s Membership barcode. The Club does not guarantee that a prescribed reserved seat membership will be available or secured. Allocation is subject to demand, capacity limits, and compliance with the sale process as determined and communicated by the Club. On-sale dates for reserved seat memberships will be advised by the Club, and, if applicable, full terms and conditions will apply to the sale of the membership product and will be available at the point of sale.
  2. The Club’s “Rewards and Recognition Program” may vary from time to time and is offered at the absolute discretion of the Club. It is generally expected to include priority access for Members to purchase new memberships and tickets, including Round 1 VFL tickets and Tasmania Devils memberships and tickets for the Club’s inaugural AFL and AFLW seasons, subject to availability. To remain eligible for the Rewards and Recognition Program, Devils Believer Members must maintain an active Membership in each year leading up to the Club’s entry into the AFL or AFLW competition.
  3. For members that opt to pay via a three (3) month instalment option, the initial deposit will be deducted on 23 February 2026, the second payment will be deducted on 23 March 2026, and the third and final payment will be deducted on 23 April 2026.  Any payment instalment dates for future membership seasons will be advised by the Club at the relevant time of renewal. If a payment run falls on a Tasmanian public holiday or weekend, the payment will be processed on the next business day.
  4. Venues, times, and dates of VFL and VFLW matches are subject to change. The Club will not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses as a result of the cancellation, rescheduling or relocation of matches during the VFL or VFLW seasons, including losses in relation to accommodation and flights.
